Great video about the ‘Secret Forest’, the tropical deciduous forest that runs along the pacific coast of southern Sonora to Panama. It is disappearing at an alarming rate. Out of the 550,000 of this time of forest that flourished 400 years ago, only 10% remains.

There is a foundation in El Fuerte, Sinaloa called ‘Patronato – El Rio Fuerte’ that has commited itself to bring awareness to the world about the rapid deforestation that is happening to this ecosystem, specifically along the El Fuerte river.
