Biking Copper Canyon

Amigo Trails offers guests the once in the lifetime chance to explore the gorgeous Copper Canyon via bicycle, one of the most exciting trips we have. We make sure to purchase brand new fleets of bikes every 2 years so you only have the best available, as well as keeping skilled bicycle mechanics on standby to ensure that the bikes function properly.

You will be pleased to know that all of our bikes come with maps, tool kits, pumps, and helmets standard, with free raincoats available should the need arise.

Amigo Trails is lucky to have experienced bikers and hikers on-staff that have explored this area for many years, and are deeply familiar with its intricacies and hidden secrets. They even know all the area back roads which are available to the more daring spirits.

Speaking of daring spirits, you may want to try our "Back Roads Extreme", a fun and challenging trip that is fully guided and supported, and which takes about 12 days. The trip is intended for only the most serious of bikers, who must be the type who enjoys going uphill as much as downhill. Be warned: You will be camping along these back roads as well!

If this sounds like something that may be of interest to yourself and your party, please get in touch with Yolonda.

Some of the sights you can encounter while biking Copper Canyon are the beautiful El Fuerte River, Cerro de la Mascara, Miguel Hidalgo Dam, and the Josefa Dominguez Dam, the Valley of the Mushrooms, Frogs and Monks, San Ignacio Mission, Lake Arareko and more.

You can also ride around and explore the colonial town of El Fuerte, a town with about 45,000 people, and the beautiful surrounding forest areas as well. Please call for more information!
